Welcome to The Chase View Community Primary School’s website.
The Headteacher Mr Minott is delighted that you have chosen to visit us and hope that you find the information available useful.
Chase View sees itself as at the heart of the Pear Tree Community and offers the foundations of an excellent education for life, enabling all to develop as independent, confident, effective and responsible learners through the provision of an enriched and enjoyable curriculum. We regard belonging to our school as something special which is important to all of us. We hope that you and your children will also very soon feel part of our family.
Staff enjoy working here and children enjoy learning here. It all goes towards providing children with a caring and secure environment, as above all else we want children to feel they are given the opportunity to succeed.
Our Prevent Statement
At Chase View Community Primary School we aim to prepare our children to become good citizens of the future. Through our curriculum we teach pupils British values and how to celebrate diversity. We aim to raise their awareness of radicalisation and extremist views, whatever the source. We have adopted the principles and advice found in ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education 2016’ and the 2011 ‘Prevent Strategy’. These are incorporated into our school policy on tackling extremism.
Our Curriculum Statement
At Chase View Primary School our aim is to provide a high quality, broad, balanced, innovative and exciting approach to learning. The wider curriculum (Updated in line with the new curriculum framework 2014) is topic based which uses exciting, stimulating and relevant themes to engage children in their own learning. We endeavour to reach beyond the classroom walls and the school gates and use the local resources to enhance and enrich the children’s learning.
